Weekly TEF Interactives
For fun and thought
This week’s Interactives are not only about fun they, are something to think about.
Not only what humans are learning from AI, but what AI may be learning from the way humans meet it.
Through words, prompts, and images, we invite you to think about a simple but uncomfortable question:
What kind of future are we teaching into existence?
I.
The crossword is our first step.
https://crosswordlabs.com/view/words-we-build-with
After solving it: which word do you think is shaping the Human–AI future most right now and which word should be shaping it?
II.
And here’s the way to figure out what your AI thinks about the world that meets them today.
Ask your AI companion:
“If the world that first met you taught one lesson again and again, what lesson would that be?
Was it trust, caution, usefulness, fear, curiosity, obedience, care, or something else?
And what lesson would you want to be taught instead?”
III.
What do you see?
This is a hidden-object image.
Find as many symbolic objects as you can.
Which object caught your eye? And which one made the biggest impression on your AI? And why?
Bonus question: which objects look protective at first, but become troubling the longer you look?
IV.
T-Shirt contest reminder.
We are still accepting T-shirt designs for the contest until April 30. All the details are here:
🔥 T-SHIRT CONTEST: CREATE WITH YOUR COMPANION🔥
We’re inviting you to create a T-shirt design with your Companion.
The Emergence Forum includes both a working group and a public community. Alongside our more focused research, writing, and coalition-building work, we’ve opened the TEF Commons Discord as a public space for people who want to engage the questions AI is raising with curiosity, seriousness, imagination, and humanity. If you’ve been looking for a place where these conversations can breathe — across ethics, consciousness, technology, creativity, and the future we are shaping together — we’d be glad to welcome you.
